Jethro Detailing: Toyota Vios

First day and first car to be detailed by us in 2016.
~ Toyota Vios AKA Toyota Yaris Sedan

The car looks alright but at closer look at its reflection, it appears dull.

We inspect the car upon arrival at customer's house:

The car's reflection can be clearly seen dull and hazy.
Trust us, we make it mirror shine again at the end.

Not much swirls problem on this car, but our main focus of polishing this car is not removing swirls but to make it shiny and reflective like NEW again.

We inspect for visible and large scratches all around the car

(We manage to remove the paint transfer safely from the paint - NO PICTURE)

It appears that there is deep scratches at the side door.

The scratches are too deep to be fixed by polishing or compounding.
It have reach the metal base.

Claying of the car - Decontaminate Paint

The car's paint was so dry until it came off easily like excess paint.
This car looks like it was left neglected for a long time.
A lot of polishing works and consideration required for this condition.

Polishing Work

~ From our paint inspection, the paint is in a unhealthy condition with a thin paint of 3 mils! This adds up to more consideration of steps needed to ensure the optimum safe polish required for fixing the car's condition. Too harsh will cause paint damage due to thin paint, too fine polish and these heavy defects will not be fixed.

Due to the dull and neglected condition of the car's paint, we had no choice but to use a more aggressive polish/compound to fix the condition.
(We use Detailing Kingdom Next Cut 2.2 compound and a yellow polishing pad - soft cut pad)

After our polishing, the car looks much better and new looking again.

Remember this deep scratches?

Tadaa! We fixed the visible deep scratches to a less visible result with paint touch up.
(We use automotive paint to fill the scratches and cover it with clear coat to ensure its lasting like automotive paint)

After polishing, we spraydown IPA to remove polishing oil on the car. We put car protection of sealant & wax on the car for long lasting shine.

After some grueling 5 hours of exterior and interior detailing.
The result of our polishing have bring this car to a NEW look!
